Coach Curtis Boothe tallied basketball win number 400 Friday, January 22, 2021. The win moved Coach Boothe into an elite group of Iowa basketball coaches who are also able to make the claim of clinching 400 wins. He is the 22nd active boys coach to meet this mark in the state of Iowa. The Iowa Basketball Coaches Association honored Coach Boothe with a plaque presentation at the recent State Boys’ Basketball Tournament. In his 19 years of coaching basketball at Central Decatur, Coach Boothe has led his girls teams to nine Pride of Iowa Conference championships and six state tournament appearances. Coach Boothe began coaching the boys basketball team in the 2020-21 season and is sure to continue building a tradition of Cardinal success.
